Melbourne Design Awards 2012

The Melbourne Design Awards represent the diversity and culture of the Melbourne design industry.

Melbourne as a recognised global design city, features both local and international design activity, and the shortlisted entries represent an annual snapshot of the sophisticated design culture in the Melbourne marketplace.

Already in the short history of the Awards, we've seen the entries from the top 50 designers in Melbourne and this years' program gives another opportunity for professional designers, design commissioners and brand managers to have their design works recognised.

Join us for a celebration of the people that create and commission design, and who promote and engage in all aspects of design.

Presented by design100.

Melbourne Design Awards - early bird deadline and program announcements

The 2014 Melbourne Design Awards is officially open for nominations with the early bird deadline closing 11 September. Congratulations to the early bird nominations - take a look at the current shortlist.

We've made a few changes to this year's program. Probably the biggest news is that we've changed our announcement model. This year we won't be making finalists announcements but rather Gold and Silver award winners.  Winners will be announced prior to the Trophy Presentation on 23 October with awarded projects receiving a complimentary ticket to participate in the official celebrations and be presented with their trophy.

Don't miss Open House Melbourne 26-27 July.

Open House Melbourne can be viewed as simply an opportunity for people to marvel at unique spaces. Whilst the event certainly provides intrigue and invites curiosity, it is actually remarkably sophisticated and layered with significant passive educational opportunities for people to learn about city-based industries, our history and future, and about the built environment. Open House Melbourne is a unique and free event that assists Melbourne in being positioned as a city of creativity and knowledge.
